MIAMI TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A man was rescued Tuesday evening after the boat he was working on fell into the Ohio River.
The man was working on his boat on a ramp in the 9800 block of Brower Rd. in Miami Township at around 8:00 pm, when the boat, along with the trailer and truck that it was attached to, started rolling backward into the Ohio River. The man's friend tried to drive the truck forward, but was unable to get the force necessary to move the trailer and the boat uphill.
The man was rescued when his friend threw him a rope and was able to anchor the boat to a tree. At the time, the boat's motor was not working.
The boat has been recovered, but the truck and trailer are currently at the bottom of the Ohio River.
There were no injuries at the accident.
