Man killed in after hitting guardrail post in Colerain Township

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident in Colerain Township that left one man dead.

Police say that at around 11:15 pm Friday night Christopher Courtney, 41, was traveling northbound on Old Colerain Ave. when he lost control of his 1991 Harley Davidson motorcycle on the 17000 block.

After losing control, Courtney traveled off the right side of the road and hit a guardrail post. The impact caused him to be ejected from his motorcycle.

Courtney was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they don't know if alcohol and/or drugs were factors in the crash. However, Courtney was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
