Ind. man arrested after chase

LAWRENCEBURG, IN (FOX19) - An Aurora man is behind bars after leading police on a chase Monday evening.

Just before 6 a.m., an Indiana State Police trooper attempted to stop a Dodge Ram for a minor traffic violation. The driver refused to stop, and after a short pursuit, finally came to a stop near Meyerfield Place.

The driver then fled on foot. A perimeter was set up in the area by officers for various agencies.

A short time later, a Lawrenceburg officer and his K-9 partner, Newby, tracked the suspect, and he was taken into custody without incident.

The suspect has been identified as Seth Adam Swango, 29. He is charged with being a habitual traffic violator, resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, maintaining a common nuisance, resisting law enforcement, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
