Cincinnati fire crews are battling the hot weather as they try to knock down a fire in Kennedy Heights.
The fire broke out around 9:30 a.m. in the basement of a home in the 6700 block of Kennedy Avenue. Crews had a hard time finding an entry into the basement.
Crews called for a second alarm for additional manpower as several firefighters had to battle the sun and heat. There were fans, chairs and cold water at the scene to help crews rest and keep cool.
