CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Former 700WLW radio personality Eric Deters has a new radio gig at 1160 Real Talk.

Deters will broadcast weekdays form 6 to 8 p.m. beginning on Monday, June 13. He will still continue his law practice.

"1160 Real Talk is a great opportunity for me to not only expand my radio work, but I believe it will be a platform for my dream of a national show," Deters said in a statement. "They do not have the watts of 700WLW, but in this deal, smaller is better for me."

Deters said talks began with 1160 the day after he was fired by 700WLW. Deters said he didn't know why he was fired from 700, but speculated that it had to do with controversial comments posted on his video blog. In part of the video Deters said, "If you want to conquer an African nation, send white women and pot."

Deters' first guest on his new show will be Christopher Smitherman, president of the Cincinnati chapter of the NAACP.

"Real Talk has made me feel welcome," said Deters. "My format will be the same as I did at 700WLW. I'll weave Topic A-local/national with my love of history, story telling and current events."
