Firefighters put out two-alarm fire at Fairfield apartment building

FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) -

Firefighters have put out a two-alarm fire at a 12-family apartment building in Fairfield Wednesday night.

Firefighters were called to the apartment building near the intersection of Woodridge Blvd. and Providence Dr. at around 10:45 pm.

One unit was on fire, but two units suffered water damage due to the efforts of the firefighters, and one other unit suffered smoke damage.

The families affected by the fire are being assisted by the Red Cross.

No word on the cause of the fire, or any estimate of the damage.
