The Kentucky General Assembly in 2010 enacted a measure creating a database, "Veritec," to record each loan via a Social Security number and other personal information.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Louisville police say three people have been killed in a crash. Police say a white vehicle attempted to turn left on Oakwood Avenue at Taylor Boulevard when it hit a Dodge Charger around 1 a.m. yesterday.

LEBANON JUNCTION, Ky. (AP) - A Kentucky State Police trooper is recuperating in a Louisville hospital after he was struck by a motorist during a traffic stop on Interstate 65. Trooper Sam Shacklette was walking to a car he had stopped for speeding on the interstate near the Bullitt County line on Saturday when he was hit.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - David Garvin, a Kentucky entrepreneur who founded the retail chain Camping World, died Saturday morning in an accidental fall at his home. A spokesman for the Warren County sheriff's office says the 71-year-old Garvin was on the roof of his home in Bowling Green when he slipped and fell.
