LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A Keeneland official says the race track doesn't want construction under way when next year's Breeders' Cup is held there and is putting off plans to build a facility for instant racing. The Lexington Herald-Leader says Lexington's Board of Adjustment granted a 60-day postponement of the track's application for a special permit to build the facility.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. House Ethics Committee says it is investigating two congressmen, Illinois Democrat Bobby Rush and Kentucky Republican Ed Whitfield. The bipartisan panel acknowledged the separate inquiries yesterday in terse statements that did not say why the lawmakers were being investigated.

CINCINNATI (AP) - U.S. Sen. Rand Paul is introducing legislation to eliminate federal sentencing disparities between crack and powder cocaine. It is the latest proposal Paul has introduced to correct the racial imbalance of the nation's criminal justice system in advance of a possible 2016 run for president.

OWENSBORO, Ky. (AP) - A 92-acre site at the Owensboro Riverport has been sold for $2.6 million after seven years on the market. Castlen Welding and Manufacturing purchased the one-time site of Green River Steel and the sale is expected to be finalized in 60 days.
