ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) - Colts left guard Donald Thomas limped off the field and toward the locker room late in yesterday's afternoon practice. He got up, limped behind the team, tried to walk it off and put both of his hands on his head before leaving the playing field.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Colts coach Chuck Pagano is losing patience with his injured veterans. Pagano says it's time for them to get on the field and start "playing football" after spending the first week of training camp defending his players. Running back Trent Richardson failed to meet expectations after Indianapolis traded a first-round pick to Cleveland to get him.

CHICAGO (AP) - Brandon Barnes hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the 10th inning as the Colorado Rockies beat the Chicago Cubs 6-4 last night. Rob Scahill pitched a scoreless inning for his second major league win. Adam Ottavino got three outs for his first career save. Scahill was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs before the game.

DETROIT (AP) - The Detroit Tigers scored six runs in the first inning en route to a 7-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox last night. Nick Castellanos hit a three-run homer in the first and added an RBI single in the seventh for the Tigers. Max Scherzer allowed a run and five hits. He struck out six and walked one.
