MONROE, OH (FOX19) - Hundreds of people turned out for a quarter auction in Monroe Friday evening to support the daughter of a Warren County Sheriff's Deputy killed in the line of duty in May.
Maddie's Hope is an organization that supports the 10-year-old daughter of Sgt. Brian Dulle. Maddie has battled cancer for years, and has triumphed in her fight. Her last cancer treatment was in 2007.
Friday was the first fundraiser for Maddie since Sgt. Dulle's death.
"We just all wanted to come out tonight and let the family know we are supporting them in the death of Brian and that we are still supporting Maddie and want her to be healthy and do well," said Reva Owens, a Maddie's Hope supporter.
All of the proceeds from Friday's event went to childhood cancer research. To date, Maddie's Hope has donated more than 75 thousand dollars to the American Cancer Society.
