FORT WRIGHT, KY (FOX19) -

Police have arrested a man who is accused of robbing a Northern Kentucky bank.

Ronny Ray Stutes, 47, was arrested by the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force at a Waffle House restaurant in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Police say Stutes stole a car from a dealership in Florence, then robbed a bank in Fort Wright.

The bank robbery happened on June 15 at the Bank of Kentucky on Dixie Highway.

The vehicle that Stutes was driving, a dark gray 2009 Toyota Scion, was reported stolen from Kerry Toyota in Florence the day before the robbery.

Stutes walked away from Transitions on York Street in Newport is entered in NCIC as wanted for escape. Stutes has a record of theft and escape.

In 2002, Stutes walked away from a jail detail in Bell County, KY and was arrested in Knoxville, TN.
