Suspected drug overdose leads to arrest of five people

FRANKLIN, OH (FOX19) -

A report of a man possibly overdosing, led Franklin Police to arrest five people on Friday.

The Franklin Police Department has previously received reports of drugs being sold at 273 Victory Lane in the Franklin Court apartment complex, and on Friday they received a call that a man was outside of that apartment on the cement steps, possibly overdosing.

After medics transported the man to the Atrium Hospital, the officers made contact with the resident of the apartment unit. An investigation revealed that drugs were indeed being sold and used inside the apartment. 

Arrested were:

  • 24-year-old Elaine France of that address. Arrested and charged with Trafficking in Drugs (F5) and Permitting Drug Abuse (M1) $8,500 Bond.
  • 19-year-old Danielle Miller of Franklin, Ohio. Arrested and charged with Trafficking in Drugs (F5), Possession of Drugs of Abuse (F5), and Tampering with Evidence (F3) $25,000 Bond
  • 21-year-old Darion Stargell of Dayton, Ohio. Arrested and charged with Trafficking in Drugs (F5) $5,000 Bond
  • 19-year-old Charles Bursey III of Dayton, Ohio. Arrested and charged with Tampering with Evidence (F3) $15,000 Bond
  • 18-year-old Steven Collins of Middletown, Ohio. Arrested and charged with Tampering with Evidence (F3) $15,000 Bond

All five people are being held in the Warren County Jail.
