OAKLEY, OH (FOX19) - A street in Oakley was shut down after a broken pipe started spewing an unknown type of acid at Cast-Fab Industries.
Cast-Fab Industries is located in the 3000 block of Forrer Street.
Emergency crews on the scene say that acid that is used at the plant began leaking and possibly gallons may have been spilled. The leak is plugged was quickly plugged, but crews had to figure out how to clean up.
There is no word on what caused the leak and all of the employees had to be evacuated from the building.
Luckily, there are no reports of any injuries.
According to the Cast-Fab website, the plant is a supplier of ductile iron castings, patterns, steel-welded fabrications and precision sheet metal components.
