Tony Stewart to visit Kentucky Speedway

SPARTA, KY (FOX19) - Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart will hold a news conference at Kentucky Speedway on Tuesday.

Stewart visits the Speedway in advance of the facility's July 9 "Quaker State 400."

Stewart will make his competitive debut at Kentucky Speedway in the "Quaker State 400."

The 13-year NSCS veteran opened this week 78 points behind Roush Fenway Racing driver and championship leader Carl Edwards. Stewart raced to his season-best second-place finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 6.

Stewart earned NSCS championships in 2005 and 2002 competing in the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 20 car. Including his championships, the 40 year old from Columbus, Ind., has placed in the top five in the final NSCS championship standings four times and among the top 10 in the final standings in four straight and 11 of his 12 full NSCS seasons.
