MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - All Middletown School District employees will take a salary cut beginning July 1. The Board of Education approved a one percent salary cut for approximately 700 district employees for the next three years.
Along with the one percent salary cut, this agreement includes paying an extra five percent on health and dental premiums. In July 2013, another five percent will be added.
This deal also includes administrators and other workers not in the union. School Board members have agreed to give back 10 percent of their pay. The move helps Middletown schools save a little more than $4 million over three years.
