Pharmacy worker charged with stealing drugs

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A pharmacy worker is facing charges for stealing drugs from the University Hospital pharmacy.

Benjamin Robers, 22, is charged with theft and possession of drugs.

According to court documents, Robers was seen on hidden camera stealing Fentanyl and Midazolam from the pharmacy and placing them in syringes, then refilling the syringes with water/saline for waste.

Investigators say it happened on multiple occasions on June 21 and June 22. Robers admitted he took the drugs and syringes for personal use. Police found two 60cc syringes with 23.5cc of Fentanyl and 5cc syringe of Fentanyl in his backpack.

Robers was arraigned on Thursday, and his bond was set at $3,000.
