Aircare was called to transport the driver of an accident in Amberley Village where a car ended up in a creek Thursday evening.
Police say the accident happened at around 6:45 pm near the intersection of Ridge Rd. and Section Rd.
Police on the scene say that the driver of the vehicle, a 43-year-old male, was driving at a high speed before losing control of the vehicle and crashing over a bridge. The car went through the trees and ended up in a creek.
Rescue crews had to tear the roof off of the vehicle to rescue the driver. Aircare then transported the driver to University Hospital. The driver was reportedly conscious as he was put into the helicopter.
FOX19 has a crew on the scene and will have more information as it becomes available.
