Reds need your help to start at the All-Star Game

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Several of your favorite Reds need help getting votes to start the MLB All-Star game.

First baseman Joey Votto and second baseman Brandon Phillips have fallen behind in voting, both to Brewers players.

Votto and Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder both trail the Cardinals' Albert Pujols, who is injured and will not play in the All-Star Game.

Phillips fell behind to Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks.

Third baseman Scott Rolen and outfielder Jay Bruce are also in contention to start the All-Star game and need your vote.

Reds blogger and assistant media relations director Jamie Ramsey hosted a "vote Reds" luncheon on Wednesday, where over 550 fans came out to vote for the Reds and eat free pizza.

The All-Star Game is July 12 in Phoenix and will be aired on FOX19. Voting ends at midnight on Friday.
