CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - 100 people will be sworn in as new United States citizens during a special naturalization ceremony at the Duke Energy Convention Center on Friday.
The event will be presented by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and is being held on conjunction with the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) convention at 11:00am. The ceremony will celebrate our nation's 235th birthday.
U.S. District Court Judge, The Honorable S. Arthur Spiegel is expected to be in attendance along with Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory, USCIS Director Alejando Mayorkas and LULAC national president Margaret Moran.
Nearly 2,300 candidates will become citizens at 30 special ceremonies that will be held across the country and around the world from June 29 to July 4.
