MONFORT HEIGHTS (FOX19) - One person is killed after a motorcycle and car crash on Thursday afternoon.
A short time before 3:00pm, Cincinnati Police were called to a traffic crash with serious injuries at the 1600 block of West Fork Road.
Police say 32-year-old Timothea Boyd was traveling east on a Suzuki GS500F west on West Fork Road when a Honda Element that was traveling east went left of center and struck the motorcycle. Boyd was ejected from the motorcycle. She was transported to University Hospital where she died from her injuries.
Boyd was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Element, 35-year-old Melanie Thomas-Lee and four juvenile passengers were not injured. Thomas-Lee was wearing a seat belt along with three of the juveniles. One was in a child safety seat.
Officials say that drugs may be a factor in the crash.
The Traffic Unit is investigating the incident. Any witnesses to the crash are asked to call the Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
