The Vietnam Veterans of American hosted a picnic on Saturday where attendees could ride a restored "Huey" UH-1 Iroquois helicopter.
The "Huey" was actually flown in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971 with the 1st and 9th Air Cavalry, 2nd and 20th Air Cavalry, and the 117th Air Assault.
The picnic was held at the Union Township Veteran's Memorial Park and was held by the Vietnam Veterans of America Clermont Chapter 649. The "Huey" was provided by the Indiana Air Search and Rescue.
"It's the chance of a lifetime...It's nothing like a ride you would ride at Kings Island...It's quite an experience," said Charlie Walker, president of the Indiana Air Search and Rescue.
