Oatesville, Ind. (AP) - A southwestern Indiana boy missing for nine days after running away from home was reunited with his parents after being found hiding beneath the family's home.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports officers found 12-year-old Josh Miller in the crawl space beneath the Oatesville home about 3 p.m. Saturday after his parents told police they were hearing noises under the dwelling.
Pike County Sheriff Jeremy Britton said Josh had squeezed through a vent into the crawl space under the family's modular home. He said the boy had probably been in and out of hiding during the nine days police, family and volunteers searched for him.
