COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) - A 50-year-old tradition in one Covington neighborhood continued Monday.
The area known as Peaselburg hosted their Fourth of July parade and celebration at St. Augustine Church.
This celebration of the Fourth has a small parade, families walking their dogs, and kids all decked out in red, white and blue.
"It's pretty much a neighborhood parade," said Susan Barrett, friends of Peaselburg, "We want to see a lot of walkers and floats and people decorated, that's kind of what it is."
Organizers say the parade tradition began when one dad in the neighborhood gave his kids decorations and walked them down Euclid Avenue and it stuck.
