Over 130,000 pounds of equipment recycled during drop-off program

BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19) - The Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District has collected over 130,000 pounds of computer and TV equipment during its free drop off program.

The program began on May 2 and will continue through Oct. 21. To date, 130,036 pounds of equipment has been collected.

Hamilton County residents interested in participating in this program can drop-off their unwanted computer equipment/TVs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at 2trg on 11085 Kenwood Road in Blue Ash. Residents must bring proof of residency, such as a driver's license or utility bill, in order to participate. This program prohibits the acceptance of computer equipment/TVs from businesses, churches, schools and non-profit organizations.

The Computer & TV Recycling Drop-Off program will also be open on Saturday, October 15th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The program will be closed on Sept. 5

Acceptable items include: CPUs, hard drives, personal copiers, docking stations, monitors, scanners, printers, cellular telephones, televisions, hard drives, tape and disk drives, VCR and DVD players, circuit boards, cables, main frames, servers, terminals, fax machines, PDAs, back up batteries, chips, keyboards, mice, modems, computer speakers, CD Rom drives, and laptops.
