SPARTA, Ky(FOX19)—Elliott Sadler turned the fastest lap (31.618 secs/170.789 mph) in the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice and Austin Dillon was fastest in the second practice (31.385secs/172.057 mph) on Wednesday in preparation for the UNOH 225 on Thursday night at Kentucky Speedway.
"I feel like we've got a great shot at this race," Dillon said. "We ran well here last year but there's some really good, tough competition out here."
Sadler was .148 seconds faster than Dillon in the first practice which took place from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sadler was sixth in the second practice session. Dillon held the best ten lap consecutive lap average speed at 169.129 mph in that second session.
"It felt good the first practice," Sadler said in between the two sessions. "This is the practice that really counts. It's getting closer to the sun going down and there might be some shade on the racetrack. We'll kind of learn what we're fighting."
