The Ohio State Highway Patrol has announced plans for sobriety checkpoints this week across the state.
The location of the checkpoints have yet to be announced, but officials say they hope to deter and intercept impaired drivers with the effort.
Police advise designating a driver or making other travel arrangements before drinking and getting on the road.
Operational support for the sobriety checkpoints will be provided by local law enforcement agencies.
