AAA: Ohio gas down a penny from last week

COLUMBUS, OH (AP) - Ohio gas prices have slipped a penny in the last week, staying well below the record levels seen this spring.

Monday's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express puts Ohio's average price for regular-grade gasoline at $3.58 a gallon, compared to $3.59 a week ago.

Prices are almost 60 cents below Ohio's May 4 all-time high for regular, which was $4.16 a gallon.

Chief oil analyst Tom Kloza with the Oil Price Information Service is not expecting another big price spike this summer. He's forecasting that the national average will stay between $3.25 and $3.75 per gallon.

A year ago, regular in Ohio was averaging $2.69, about 90 cents cheaper than it is now.
