Group allowed to raise funds through sale of plate

FRANKFORT, KY (AP) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has given permission to a private anti-pornography group to raise funds through sales of a Kentucky license plate that says "In God We Trust."

The plate will also display the name of the organization that sponsors the plate - ROCK Cares. The decision ends more than three years of legal arguments over the issue.

The organization is now promoting the plate in an effort to reach 900 applications, the amount legally required before the state will begin producing it.

ROCK Cares President MaryAnn Gramig says proceeds will go toward helping people such as pornography addicts and sex workers seeking to leave the industry.
