WILDER, KY (FOX19)---Movie theater managers say they packed more than 1500 people into twelve sold out, midnight showings of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows 2 at Wilder's Great Escape movie theater.
They had crowd control down to a science, letting small groups go into the screenings early to get prime seats.
Movie theaters across Greater Cincinnati saw fans of the book and movie series show up to the midnight showings in costumes reflective of their favorite characters.
"This just feels like, well, it feels like this is it. " said Becca, one of the fans interviewed as she waited in line for a seat.
Becca and about 15 friends from Notre Dame High School showed up in a large group to watch the last movie screening together. They all told FOX19 it felt like the end of an era, since they had grown up reading the books and watching the movies.
