Middletown Police catch 2 armed robbers after foot chase

MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) -

Two men are behind bars after a short foot chase in Middletown. Police responded to the 400 block of Baltimore for a shots fired call. Within minutes of responding, a second call came in informing police that a shell casing was found in the parking lot of BJ Market.

Witnesses described the shooter as a black man wearing a white shirt, white hat and sitting in the back of a gray car. Officers were checking the area and located a gray car in the 200 block of Garfield. When the police cruiser pulled up, a man ran away from officers on foot. After a short foot chase, the suspect was arrested. A loaded handgun was found during the chase.

During the investigation, officers found out the suspect may have been involved in an armed robbery, and a second person was involved.

Ricardo Montez Robertson, 27, of Middletown was arrested on three counts of aggravated robbery. Tryvale Deanthony Redmond, 22, was arrested on one count of aggravated robbery.
