SHARONVILLE, OH (FOX19) - Former Sharonville Mayor and Hamilton County Commissioner passed away early Friday morning at his home in Sharonville.
John Dowlin served as a Hamilton County Commissioner for 11 years, starting in 1990 when he was appointed to serve the remainder of Bob Taft's term after Taft had been elected Ohio Secretary of State. Dowlin was elected to serve as county commissioner for two more years.
Prior to that, Dowlin served as the Sharonville Mayor for 28 years.
Dowlin had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. He was 81 years old.
Services have not been announced.
