(FOX19) - FOX19 News is excited to announce the launch of The FOX19 First Weather at 4 a.m. The new half hour show will feature Meteorologists Frank Marzullo and Katy Morgan, Monday through Friday at 4a.m.
"We were the first, and for the longest time, only ones on at 4:30 a.m., so this is a natural extension of our all-local morning show," said FOX19 President and General Manager Bill Lanesey. "Having two meteorologists already in place makes it an easy transition and we feel there is a strong appetite for weather first thing in the morning."
The FOX19 First Weather at 4 a.m. increases FOX19's local news coverage to eight hours per day, Monday through Friday, more than any news station in the Tri-State. "The new show is a sign of our commitment to balanced local news, our commitment to the Cincinnati area," said Matt Miller, FOX19 News Director.
Rehearsals begin next week and the show will debut on July 25th. Frank and Katy will host the show, which will focus on local weather conditions and how these conditions will affect local events. FOX19 Morning Anchor Tracey Johnson will also have a role, Tracey will be reporting news headlines within the show.
