BATAVIA, OH (FOX19) - The Clermont County General Health District is promoting senior safety with an art contest.
Fall Prevention Week in Ohio is in September and now will be accepting entries for its first senior art contest. The theme of the art contest is Fall Prevention and Healthy Aging- Living to Full Potential.
"This contest is a fun way for Clermont County seniors to show off their artistic talent, and help educate seniors about living life to the fullest," said Clermont County Health District Senior Safety Coordinator Denise Franer. "We have some great prizes, including a YMCA senior membership and gift cards."
Any Clermont County citizen, age 60 or older is welcome to enter the contest. The artwork must be original and emphasize fall prevention and healthy aging for seniors. The artwork can be a poster, drawing, sculpture, fabric or fiber design, quilt or other art form. Computer- aided or copy machine entries, syndicated, copyrighted, or clip art images are not eligible. An entry form must be attached to the artwork when it is submitted and should have a title.
Entries will be accepted until Monday, August 22.
Entries can be taken to any Clermont County Public Library branch, Clermont Senior Services Lifelong Learning Center, or the Clermont County General Health District (Nursing Division) office located at 2400 Clermont Center Drive, Suite 200 in Batavia.
