NORWOOD, OH (FOX19) - Police have arrested a man for causing the death of a fellow patient at a Norwood nursing home.

Officers were called to the Victoria Retirement Community around 10:45 am on Monday for an assault. Police say Leon Miller, 48, was exiting a room and knocked George Kiss, 75, out of his wheelchair. Kiss hit his head falling out of his wheelchair and had to be taken to the hospital.

Miller was arrested and charged with assault.

Later Monday, Kiss died of his injury. Police then upgraded the charge against Miller to involuntary manslaughter.

Police say Miller has some anger and medical related issues, but do not believe that he intended to kill Kiss.

Miller is currently at the Hamilton County Justice Center with no bond set.
