Copper theft leads to Cincinnati Bell outage

INDEPENDENCE, KY (FOX19) - Police are investigating a copper theft in Independence that led to about 3,000 Cincinnati Bell customers losing their services.

Cincinnati Bell says that Monday night, thieves cut into a copper line on Pelly Rd. in Independence and stole copper cable. This caused several thousand Cincinnati Bell customers to lose power.

Cincinnati Bell crews were able to restore services to those customers at around 4:00 pm Tuesday.
