CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Reds announced Tuesday that they have traded outfielder Jonny Gomes to the Washington Nationals.

The Reds are receiving minor league players Chris Manno, a left-handed pitcher, and Bill Rhinehart, an outfielder, from the Nationals.

Gomes hit .211 with 11 home runs and 31 RBI in 77 appearances and 59 starts this season for the Reds.  The left fielder was a major piece in the Reds division championship in 2010 hitting 18 home runs and driving in 86 runs.
