AURORA, IN (FOX19) - An arrest has been made for a burglary at the Lawrenceburg Manchester Sparta Conservancy Water District.
Police say Robert Hess, 27, stole several brass items from the water district on July 21. He is charged with burglary, theft, possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of paraphernalia.
Officers alert several metal recycling centers in the Tri-State that the brass was stolen. River City Metals in Cincinnati called and reported that a person had sold metal that matched the description and they were able to provide pictures and an identification of Hess.
A large amount of the stolen property was recovered.
Hess was spotted on July 25 by Aurora Officers where he was detained. He is currently incarcerated at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center. Bond was set in the Dearborn County Circuit Court at $1000.00 cash and $75,000.00 surety.
