LEBANON, OH (FOX19) - A franchise owner of a local pre-school has been charged with rape.
The Warren County Sheriff's Office says John Foster, 36, was arrested on Wednesday. He was arraigned on Thursday morning and is being held in the Warren County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
Foster is a franchise owner of the Primrose School in Maineville. He and his wife opened the school in 2008. Police say at this point, they have no reported incidents involving Primrose students.
According to court documents, Foster engaged in sexual conduct with a girl under 13 from 1999 until 2003.
Foster has been ordered to stay away from the victim and all children under the age of 18. He is scheduled to be back in court on Aug. 4. Warren County Sheriff Larry Sims says more charges could be coming soon.
"It makes good sense to inform all the parents and allow them the opportunity to make decisions on what they want to do with their children at that school," said Sims.
Primrose Schools released a statement saying, "We've recently learned of the allegations and arrest of a franchise owner of the River's Bend School. At this time the school will remain open as school management and staff members are on-site. Primrose Support Center will be there to provide additional support the school."
