Large brawl leaves three injured, two with stab wounds

GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A large fight broke out early Saturday morning in the parking lot of a Green Township bar, leading to the injuries of three people.

Police were called to the Pirate's Den on Werk Road around 12:45 a.m. to find two people had been stabbed and numerous individuals were involved in the fight.

One victim, a 36-year-old man, was stabbed in the neck. He was taken to the hospital where he remains in critical condition. The second victim was stabbed in his left arm and chest. He was taken to the hospital and has since been released.

A third person was also treated for injuries related to a beating.

Pirate's Den owner Larry Hemsath says one of the victims is a regular customer and was in the bar Friday night, but that the others involved were not patrons.

Hemsath says his customer went to the parking lot to smoke a cigarette when a group of people outside approached him and the fight ensued. It's unknown what provoked the brawl.

This incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
