LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A Kentucky woman has lost 25 pounds since joining an online support group in March.
Connie Douthitt, 52, says the Facebook group Personal Challenges, "got me up and motivated."
The group helped her hunt down free and cheap exercise options. And other members help keep her on track.
Douthitt says when she's having a bad day and posts something about it, she often gets 20 or 30 comments of encouragement from others in the invitation-only network.
She said the weight loss has helped her feel better.
Among Douthitt's exercise finds were free Zumba classes and a $5 spinning class.
