Teen arrested for Blue Ash burglary

BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19) - A 15-year-old is facing charges for burglarizing a home in Blue Ash.

The burglary happened July 3 on Classic Drive in Blue Ash. Police arrested a Deerfield Township teen on July 30 and charged with burglary. Taken in that offense were a laptop computer, an Xbox360, an iPod, and miscellaneous personal items as well as cash.

Further investigation by police led to an additional charge against the juvenile of Receiving Stolen Property after he was alleged to be in possession of stolen property taken from a vehicle parked at another residence on Classic Drive on June 22. A purse and credit cards were taken in that offense.

Although residing in Deerfield Township, the juvenile was believed to have been staying with a relative in Blue Ash nearby to where the offenses occurred. A dozen reports of thefts from vehicles in neighborhoods off of Cornell Road have been received by the Blue Ash Police in the past month.

Police have in their custody a number of items believed to be stolen property.

Victims of thefts from vehicles are being contacted to determine if the property can be matched up with its true owners. Citizens who believe that they have been victims of car break-ins in the Cornell Road vicinity may contact the Blue Ash Police at (513) 745-8555.
