EVENDALE, OH (FOX19) -

The search is over for a woman who abandoned her six-year-old daughter at a local Walmart.

According to Sgt. Bill Lantry with the Evendale Police Department, Kyeong Shil Showes left her daughter and her car at the Walmart in Evendale and took a taxi to Downtown Cincinnati. A critical missing adult alert was issued for the woman and was found around 3:30 p.m. at Fountain Square.

When police found Showes, they say she was very disoriented and may have a mental condition. The 6-year-old child is now staying with her grandparents temporarily. The child's father is currently in Afghanistan.

Police say no charges will be filed against the mother. Showes was taken to University Hospital for treatment.
