A former Cincinnati Bengal defensive end was indicted by a Warren County grand jury for an incident where he got into a fight with police officers in a police parking lot.

According to police, Carl Powell, 37, drove to the parking lot of the Mason Police Department yelling and screaming at his wife, who was in another car with their children. Police attempted to calm Powell, who then started screaming at the officers.

Police then say that they instructed Powell to lay face down. Powell responded by lunging at an officer. Another officer at the scene then used a taser gun on Powell. After the gun was used, police say it still took 5 officers to subdue Powell.

Carl Powell played for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2003-05. Before then, he played for the Washington Redskins in 2002, Chicago Bears in 2001, and the Baltimore Ravens in 2000. He was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 1997. The Cincinnati Bengals were the last team that he played for.

Powell will be at arraigned at the Warren County Common Pleas Court August 19th.
