Tri-Staters will have to settle for tying the record for the number of consecutive days at 90 degrees or above.
According to the National Weather Service, the high temperature at the Greater Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport only reach 89 degrees on Wednesday. That means our streak of 17 straight days with temperatures in the 90's came to an end.
The streak tied a record set in 1868 and 1901.
