Man arrested after woman is abducted on bike path

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - A Hamilton, Ohio woman is safe after a scary walk on a bike path Thursday morning.

The victim was walking on the path in the 1600 block of Neilan Blvd. when she passed Bryant Marquis King, 20, around 10 a.m. The victim commented to King, asking him why he was wearing one shoe and carrying the other.

She turned to walk away, King followed her. The victim became afraid and started to walk faster. She called a friend on her cell phone to tell them what was going on.

When she was on the phone, King made a noise to get her attention. When she turned around, he unzipped his pants and started to unbuckle his belt.

When the victim turned around again, King grabbed her by the waist from behind. The victim yelled for King to get away and to get back.

She then fought off the suspect, broke the suspects hold, and was able to get away and get assistance to call 911.

During the 911 call, the victim gave dispatchers the description and alerted officers. A detective was in the area and saw a man matching the description. The detective detained the man and he was positively identified by the victim.

King has been charged with Abduction.
