Toddler airlifted to hospital after near drowning

DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A 3-year-old child is being air lifted to a hospital after falling into a swimming pool.

Warren County officials received a call around 4:15 to a house in the 3600 block of Wild Cherry Way in Deerfield Township.

According to officials, the boy fell into main pool at a neighborhood swimming area. The area of the pool where the child feel in was 3-5 feet and dispatchers say that the child was under water for an undisclosed amount of time.

The boy was pulled from the water and CPR was administered by a bystander at the pool.

The child was transported by ambulance to West Chester Medical Center and is being airlifted to Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

There is no word on the condition of the child, but there are reports that the child was crying and breathing on his way to the hospital.
