The scaffolding is erected at the Walgreen's on the corner of State Route 4 and Northland Boulevard. The intent is to have an officer on top for all 35 consecutive hours. Other officers and volunteers will be collecting donations from customers and visitors who come to the event.
Wendy's on Northland Boulevard is also donating 15 percent of their sales on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
