NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - Police have identified a man who died after fleeing police and jumping off a bridge early Sunday morning.
Newport Police were called to the 400 block of Chestnut Way around 1 a.m. for a report of disorderly man.
Once on scene, police found Andree Glover, 36, standing naked standing on top of a vehicle challenging residents to fight. When officers approached the man, he then ran toward the 4th Street Bridge.
Police say once the man was at the bridge, he jumped into the Licking River and disappeared from sight. Water rescue crews responded and found the man's body a short time later.
Police say Glover had just been released from jail on August 1 and was supposed to be paroled to his sister's house in Covington. The incident occurred at Glover's wife's house.
So far it's unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor. The Campbell County Coroner is conducting an autopsy.
