Careflight called after motorcycle hits tractor

SALEM TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Careflight was called to an accident in Salem Township after an accident where a motorcycle struck a John Deere tractor.

The accident happened around 5:45 pm Wednesday near the intersection of US-22/OH-3 and Washington Way. Police say that Donald C. Stotler, 77, was driving a 1981 Kawasaki motorcycle on US-22/OH-3 when he struck the rear of a John Deere tractor driven by Ronald Flint, 70. Stotler was ejected from the motorcycle.

Police arrived at the scene of the accident and Careflight was called. Stotler was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton and is listed in critical condition.

Flint was not harmed in the accident.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident, but they do not believe that alcohol or drugs were involved.
