Suspect taken into custody after 4-hour standoff

MADISON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A man was taken into custody after a four-hour standoff will police Wednesday night.

The Butler County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Middletown-Eaton Road around 10:20 p.m. on a report of shots fired.

After a four-hour standoff, the Butler County Regional SWAT took Darryl Lindsay, 45, into custody.

Lindsay suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his shoulder and was taken to Atrium Hospital for treatment. A 72-hour hold was placed on Lindsay for evaluation by hospital staff.

The incident is under investigation and charges are pending.
