MT. AIRY, OH (FOX19) - Police arrested one person, but two suspects are still on the run, after a chase Thursday night in Mt. Airy.
A Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a blue Suzuki, but the driver refused to stop and fled from the deputy, turning into the Hawaiian Terrace Apartment complex.
The pursuit ended in a crash, with the suspect vehicle hitting a hand railing in the 5100 block of Hawaiian Terrace.
Three occupants of the vehicle fled on foot. The deputy was able to catch one of the suspects, identified as Bryant Johnson, 19. Johnson is charged with obstructing official business and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The driver of the vehicle and the other occupant are still on the loose. A search by the sheriff's K9 unit was met with negative results.
The traffic pursuit reached speeds of about 35 miles per hour and lasted about two minutes. No one was injured. Investigation revealed the suspect's car was stolen.
